Short Hair Ideas for Brides
Brides with short hair may find it challenging to decide on the perfect hair style for their wedding day. But whether the bride sports a super short pixie, an earlobe skimming bob or chin length layers, all she needs is a good cut, hair products and accessories to create the perfect wedding day look.
Classic
With the use of hair extensions, you can create a traditional up-do for your wedding day. Attach the hair extension to the hair at the nape of your neck. Twist it for a simple French twist, braid it and wind it into a classic bun or pile it in curls on the top of your head. Secure it with decorative bobby pins. Wear a fingertip-length veil.
For a traditional look without the help of hair extensions, cut your hair in a classic chin-length bob. Part it down the middle and wear your bangs straight. Use a curling iron to turn your hair under, being sure to curl it slightly toward your face.
Bring some romance to your look by curling your hair and wrapping it with velvet ribbon that is secured with a pearl-encrusted flower shaped vintage barrette.
Casual
Wash your pixie length cut, finger comb and air dry. Substitute a picture hat embellished with fresh flowers for a veil. Apply hair gel to chin length layered hair. Scrunch your hair to create relaxed waves.
Highlight the waves with a scattering of jeweled butterfly clips or small white bows. Tame curly hair by pulling it back from your face and securing it with a rhinestone studded hair band, to which a short veil has been attached.
Trendy
Have your hair cut in an asymmetrical bob with short, tight layers in the back and longer sides that sweep toward your face. Wear your bangs straight and clip a mini veil to the top of your head with a jeweled clip. Or, sweep your bangs to the side and hold them there with a vintage hair clip.
Slick your hair back from your face and attach a faux bun or curly pony tail in the back and add wispy ringlets around your face. Accessorize with fresh flowers.
For a similar look, pull back your hair with tiny cornrows along the sides and top rather than slicking it back.
