Wedding Album Crafts
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, so you will want a wedding album that captures the happiness and excitement of the big day. Creating your own wedding scrapbook will allow you to add the special touches that will take you back to the moment you said, “I do.”
The Ceremony
The ceremony is the most important part of the wedding. Create several pages for your wedding album that show the highlights of the ceremony. For example, on one page choose a photo of the bride walking down the aisle with her father and another one of the groom watching her walk down the aisle.
Place these photos side by side to see the reaction of each as they anticipate being married. For another page, choose photos of the bride and groom exchanging vows and rings and their first married kiss. For these scrapbook pages, add small items that reflect the decorations used during the ceremony. Add a pressed flower from the bride’s bouquet or the groom’s boutonniere.
Or use the same fabrics as the bride’s gown to create a miniature and paste this to the page. You could also make a copy of the vows used for the ceremony and place these alongside the photo of the happy couple exchanging vows. Read the rest of this entry »
Ideas for Wedding Photography
Gone are the days when brides and grooms opt for traditional posed photographs. Instead, they seek photographs that embody the spirit of their union by capturing unique shots that tell an everlasting story.
Sealed with a Kiss
Take a wedding shot that features the bride’s and groom’s accessories, but not their faces. At the end of the night, have the bride kiss the groom’s shirt to leave a trace of her lipstick color. Photograph the shirt, coupled with the bride’s shoes, two half-filled glasses of champagne and the couple’s rings. Or have the bride kiss a wedding invitation or a wedding program and arrange a photograph that features the couple’s rings intertwined.
Boudoir Wedding Photographs
Recognizes a growing trend in brides-to-be taking boudoir wedding photographs as a creative way to remember their wedding activities. Boudoir photographs show the bride preparing for her big day in a flirty yet sophisticated bedroom setting.
Photographs can include the bride-to-be in classic, intimate apparel while lying in bed gazing toward the window as if she’s thinking about her big day, or show the bride sliding on her garter or adjusting her bustier.
Other shots can include the bride-to-be drawing a bath with rose petals in the tub or even a flirtatious picture of the bride-to-be peeking out the door at the groom-to-be. Brides can create a photo album with their boudoir pictures and gift their husband with it on their honeymoon night as a special present. Read the rest of this entry »
